Soon after Rabbi David Shofet immigrated to California from Tehran, he founded Nessah Synagogue in 1980 to serve Iranian Jews. A small group that gathered to pray has since grown into the Nessah Educational and Cultural Center, which highlights the importance of not only education, but also the history and traditions to Iranian Jews.

Today, the Nessah Educational and Cultural Center continues to provide a diverse range of learning opportunities, including weekly classes, such as Sunday Shaharit accompanied by a sponsored breakfast.
