Chenille Fabric 101

David Raminfard is a successful and self-made entrepreneur in the fabric industry. David is proud to serve as the CEO & President of KasLen Textiles, a prosperous textile wholesale company located in Vernon, CA. David is an expert in the available types of fabrics in the market. One fabric that he knows extensively about is chenilles.

Chenille fabrics are versatile, mostly heavy, and one of the best options out there for upholstery projects. They are made out of polyester or poly-blend yarns that are woven to give a smooth even surface or a more chunky, velvety textured look. Because Chenilles resist pilling and wrinkling, Chenilles are ideal for decorating a project that requires durable fabric. Due to the velvety feel of Chenille fabrics, Chenilles look luxurious, elegant, and expensive. The demand for Chenille fabric has largely surged in the last few years.

It is also interesting to note the history of Chenille fabrics. According to historians, Chenille-type yarn is not that old of an invention, dating to the 18th century and believed to have originated in France. The man credited with introducing Chenille fabric to Scotland in the 1830s is Alexander Buchanan. He was a foreman in a Paisley fabric mill.

Peter Frampton to Release Memoir and Complete Final Tour in 2020

Outside of his career as a business leader in the textile industry, David Raminfard enjoys listening to music. One of David Raminfard’s favorite artists is an arena-rock legend, Peter Frampton.

In February 2020, Peter Frampton announced the details of a new memoir. Set for release in October, "Do You Feel Like I Do?" will touch on various areas of the performer’s life, from his childhood friendship with David Bowie to his breakthrough success with the album, "Frampton Comes Alive!". Interspersed throughout "Do You Feel Like I Do?" will be the story of the musician’s favorite guitar, which mysteriously returned to him after being lost for more than two decades.

Before his memoir’s release, Frampton will hit the road in Europe as part of his farewell tour. Forced to retire from performing live due to a degenerative muscle disorder, Frampton will open the tour in late May with several shows in the United Kingdom before moving on to other European cities, including Berlin, Paris, and Brussels. The musician, who completed the US leg of the tour in 2019, will perform for what he believes will be the final time on June 18 in Barcelona.
